SOME HISTORY

JD started almost 4 years ago as a handful of active friends who found social life in Helsinki impossible to make work and decided, instead of leaving the country as most foreigners did, to fix the social situation for themselves. We started by printing out a4 poorly made flyers and cutting them with scissors into 4s. Tiia & Paul personally went from table to table in cafes, bars and other venues and collected over 1000 email addresses and added them painstakingly by hand to a mailing list. we enticed these new members to join the club with offers of free lessons in karate, climbing and most compelling of all - discounts on beers and ciders :)

The JD Mission is simple:
